We're Gonna Walk Around This City with Our Headphones on to Block out the Noise

A 10 track indie rock album (32m 45s) — released October 26th 2009 on Audio Antihero

The band that won't die. Nosferatu D2 are something so wholly wonderful that we built a label around them. Audio Antihero launched in 2009 to release their debut LP a full two years since their split. A little too wise for the rock hordes, a little too cynical for the pop world and not nearly smug enough for the art scene - Nosferatu D2 possess a style and attitude that is entirely their own. Thrashing out muttered monologues, injured screams, frantic percussion and shrieking guitar lines, they compounded more imagination and ambition into one cluttered verse than most bands would manage in a lifetime. Their debut is their milestone, their artefact of excellence - proving themselves as one of the most unique and worthy British bands in recent history. Very proud to be a part of it. Press: "Some kind of alchemy, not to be repeated - a mix of tension, bitterness, and a way with lyrics that no one has, or will, match - 9/10." - Drowned In Sound "Perfect in their hopelessness." - Pitchfork "Your record collection is incomplete without its inclusion." - The Line of Best Fit PRI's "The World" feature story: www.theworld.org/2012/08/nosferatu-d2 "A lo-fi masterpiece - 9/10." - The Music Fix "An emotional rollercoaster laced with blaspheme and romantic despair - 8/10." - This is Fake DIY "This is a win, win, win situation! Tighter than an Aberdonian - 4/5." - The Skinny "Maybe one of those forgotten albums that will be hailed as influential come five or ten years - 9/10." - The 405 "This south London duo sound like post-rockers Mogwai reinterpreting choice moments from The Fall's illustrious back catalogue. Their songs make for a snotty, sneering listen and are as giddily hypnotic as they are unsettling" - NME "Nosferatu D2 are one of my favourite bands of all time. Some of the best, most hateful lyrics you'll ever hear." - Gareth of Los Campesinos! "Not an album to listen to if you want cheering up, but for great musicianship and lyrical brilliance this is the place" - Chris Chinchilla of ART BRUT
